Paper Shouts is proud to announce that a percentage of our sales from our Holiday Cards will benefit Our City Forest, an organization created to cultivate a greener, healthier urban enviroment and a renewed sense of community through planting and care of the urban forest.
Paper Shouts’ holiday cards are made of 100 percent Post Consumer Waste (PCW) recycled paper. Working with OFC will help support Paper Shouts’ mission - being eco-friendly as well as socially aware.
To help spread the word, Paper Shouts is running a contest with our blogger community. Paper Shouts is offering our bloggers and their readers a chance to win a $50 gift certificate that can be used to purchase any paper goods – holiday cards, birth announcements, party invitations, personalized note cards, etc. from http://www.papershouts.com/
Readers should go to: http://www.papershouts.com/store/default.asp?id=5 to pick the holiday card that they like best, make a note of the name then post on the participating blog which holiday card they picked as well as note their favorite green initiative, product, or green tip.
The blog will then select the winner at random or based on their ‘green’ feedback.
Contest ends Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at midnight PST.
If you don't have a favorite blog, feel free to add your comments and favorite cards on this blog and we will also pick one lucky winner of a $50 Paper Shouts gift certificate.
We believe this is a terrific opportunity to support a great cause and look forward to your support.

The Spruce Christmas Tree is nice.
The "Gingham Gingerbread Man" xmas card is my favorite!
I love the Superstar Holiday :-)
My fave green initiative are offices that are trying to go green--- be as paperless as possible by backing up files on CDs/jump drives instead of printing, using recycled paper, recycling office paper, 4-day at the office work weeks, etc...

The Spruce Christmas Tree is really lovely :-)
And, somewhat random, but my favorite green product at the moment is dryer balls. Anything to trim back on our energy use is fine by me :-)
Tough choice. Either Joyful Noel or Clover Christmas Branches.
My green tip: We have decided in 2009 to see if we can go without buying new. The thrift stores and garage sales in our area are great so it should be easy. What a great way to recycle.
love the green swirls and gingham gingerbread man.
I love the Snowflakes and Reindeer card.
I am slowly replacing my cleaning products with the new Clorox Green Works when they are empty.
I love the Cranberry Holiday Wrap card!
My favourite green tip is using vinegar mixed with water to clean my counter tops. I stopped using harsh chemicals a long time ago!

I like the Christmas Snowflake cards. My favorite green initiative is the stores promoting reusable cloth bags instead of plastic or paper bags.

I like the Hanukkah Snowflake card!
My favorite green tip right now is reusing every single container/empty package I can to make new "toys" for my two year old twins. They love the stuff I create even better than half the stuff I spend money on at the toy store!

Christmas Snowflake is my favorite. Just love the blue they use.
I absolutely love the "Christmas Holly Branch" card. The simple red background paired with a black and white photo looks awesome.

Favorite GREEN tip: Take advantage of online billing. SO much paper is wasted printing and mailing our monthly bills. My favorite is the "Christmas Holly Branch" card! I love it... Thanks.

I agree the Spruce Trees are Great!I Feel Christmas Comming!
I have to agree with some of the other commenters. My favorite is the Spruce Green Christmas card.
My favorite green tip would be to reuse those christmas cards I get. Meaning, I use the cards in layouts for my scrapbooking and cut out the sentiments and such. I reuse envelopes by blacking out the original return and two addresses and then turning the envelope inside out, I usually add some paper scraps as a liner for fun!
The Holiday Swirls is my favorite card.
A great green idea is to compost! Recycling for all that organic matter. We were trying really hard with our compost pile until it started attracting snakes...guess we were doing something wrong!

My favorite is the "Holiday Snowman" - so cute!
My green tip is to use the water that collects in your dehumidifier to water your indoor plants.
Thank you for the giveaway!
I love Holiday Swirls.
My best "green" tip is to make your own gift tags, using things you find around the house. Paper from magazines, paper bags, etc. Don't bother buying gift tags when you can do your own by recycling.

i like the spruce green christmas.
my green idea is to to start using reusuable shopping bags. They hold a lot more and pack well and it saves on plastic waste.
for the holidays you can also make handmade cards with seeds embedded in them. You can them plant the seeded cards in your garden :)
I like the Holiday Snowman card.
Green tip: We recycle everything we can, use products (like paper products) that have been recycled whenever possible, we use those funny looking lightbulbs and we use canvas bags to shop.
Love Superstar Holiday. My green tip is recycling everything possible and using washable cloths instead of paper towels whenever possible there's aome really good microfiber ones out now.
I love the Spruce Christmas Tree design!
I use natural, non-toxic cleaners in my home.
I like the Feliz Navidad cards, Rama de Acebo de Feliz Navidad here: http://www.papershouts.com/store/default.asp?id=1050
Being a multicultural family, I was happy to see this site had cards in Spanish as well.
Since we are talking about cards, one thing I love to do is recycle my old holiday cards by using the front part as a decorative postcard-I just cut them in half, turn them over and draw a line, and voila! a new postcard has come to life. You can also do this with cute everyday cards you receive, get well cards, etc...
My favorite is the Anderson Sparkling Invite !
Im also very fond of the washable crochet dishcloths :D
mynothings@gmail.com
Favorite Design: Holiday Doves. It is modern and exudes the idea of peace. Thinking of getting it for office Christmas cards.
Favorite Green Tip: I honestly can't add one more thing to this list! A lot of great minds have already added their two cents: cloth shopping bags instead of plastic, cloth rags instead of paper towels, online bill pay, and recycling... Those are all the law in my house!
Thanks for the opportunity AND for all the great tips!
I like the Snowflakes and Reindeer card.
Tip: Use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins. And a towel or rag instead of paper towels.

Plum and Spice is my favorite! Very cute!
Recycle everything you can. Thats what we do and also a compost pile out in the garden!
Thanks!
